Despite hopes from hundreds of thousands of tourists around the globe and tens of millions of bar, membership, and nightlife staff and owners throughout Thailand, the CCSA is sticking with plans to allow the bars to reopen on January 16. The CCSA had a gathering yesterday that revisited and revised several rules for entering Thailand and Covid-19 security rules. Although a CCSA spokesperson stated some bars could be allowed to reopen earlier in the event that they cooperate with disease control measures.
While Ridiculous did make some progressive choices to lighten the restrictions for Covid-19, they selected to not move up the date that they had set for reopening nightlife across the nation sooner than January 16, though they did outline some particulars on what to expect when venues do reopen.
Currently, all leisure venues are closed and alcohol gross sales and consumption of alcohol prohibited since April, although drinks may be served in eating places in 4 key vacationer provinces. Many restaurants have been performing as de facto bars and venues have been opening illegally.
The CCSA feels that entertainment venues – that are considered the supply of the third lethal wave of Covid-19 spread – are still too big a danger of transmission to be opened. Between the closed quarters with poor ventilation, and the tendency of drunk patrons to skip masks and social distancing and be far much less vigilant in following safety protocols, the CCSA believes it’s unsafe to open.
Though they aren’t going to be allowed to reopen any earlier, the CCSA spokesperson said the government is instructing leisure venues to upgrade their safety conditions and air flow systems in preparation for reopening in January. All employees should be absolutely vaccinated and the spokesman said the entertainment venues will be inspected for a reopening license.
When they are lastly allowed to reopen, patrons shouldn’t expect the identical wild club scene that existed before Covid-19. The CCSA says dancefloors is not going to be permitted in venues, in addition to drink sharing amongst clients. Karaoke may also not be allowed. Clubs might be allowed to open till midnight with the final name for alcohol at 11 pm.
These rules will be applied to leisure venues and nightlife spots reopening January 16 only in vacationer sandbox blue zones, protected green zones, and excessive surveillance yellow zones..
